Super Junior akan menjadi artis utama dalam festival KIMCHI 2011 (Korean Idols Music Concert Hosted in Indonesia) yang digelar di Istora 4 Juni mendatang. Antusiasme penggemar untuk menyaksikan konser ini pun sudah tidak terbendung lagi.
Namun demikian, sebelum konser ini digelar banyak bermunculan isu tidak sedap, seperti salah satunya boyband ini bakal tampil hanya dengan dua lagu. Namun hal ini dibantah mentah-mentah oleh promotor acara ini, W Productions.
“Ya memang sama seperti tadi banyak gosip, SuJu akan datang cuma 2 lagu. Mereka kan main perform jadi enggak mungkin nyanyi cuma 2 lagu,” ucap Sean Sudwikatmono, Managing Director W Production, dalam preskon KIMCHI 2011, di Sands Ballroom & Theater Mangga Dua Square, Jakarta Utara, Kamis (14/4).
Pria ini pun menambahkan, “Kami ini festival K-pop, rata-rata pada nyanyi 4 lagu. Karena SuJu main artis maka dia akan menyanyi lebih dari 5 lagu,” tegas pria tersebut.
Selain itu mereka juga menambahkan bahwa tidak ada permintaan macam-macam dari Super Junior, yang ada mereka malah minta disediakan kimchi. “Tidak ada permintaan aneh-aneh, seperti permintaan artis-artis Korea mereka minta disediakan kimchi (makanan khas korea),” ucapnya.
Sementara itu untuk tata panggung konser ini sendiri, sama seperti saat promotor tersebut menggelar konser Rain pada tahun 2009 lalu, artis yang bersangkutan berhak mendesain panggung mereka.
“Biasanya mereka akan mendesain tata panggung dan dari sisi kami sudah memenuhi permintaan mereka, pokoknya seperti yang pernah kami lakukan dalam konser Rain, akan lebih bagus,” ungkapnya.
